Minnesota Crookston Jump Seat Equestrian Competes at IHSA Regional Championship

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston jumping seat equestrian team competed in the IHSA Regional Championship show last weekend. The Golden Eagles were guided by Keira Boedigheimer (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.), who won Reserve High Point Rider for the region. Boedigheimer placed first in Open Flat and advances to the IHSA Zone Championship. Faith Retzlaff (Fr., Columbus, Wis.) placed second in Novice Flat to advance to the Zone Championship. The entire Golden Eagle jumping seat team has also qualified for the IHSA Zone Championships.

Julianna Gullo (So., Itasca, Ill.) took third in Open Fences for the Golden Eagles. Gabriella Siefkes (So.,. Aberdeen, S.D.) placed third in Intermediate Fences. Alexandra Wentland (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) took third in Limit Fences, and fifth in Limit Flat. Delainey Lancaster (Jr., Watertown, S.D.) placed sixth in Introductory Flat. In addition to Retzlaff in Novice Flat, Ashleigh Lueder (Jr., Rochester, Minn.) took fifth, and Jada Schimke Fr., Maple Grove, Minn.) finished sixth.
