Triple Crown® Dressage Excellence Award Winner Dazzles at Rebecca Farm

Kalispell, MT (July 27, 2017) -– Premium equine nutrition company, Triple Crown® Nutrition was thrilled to award the coveted Triple Crown Dressage Excellence Award to Krista Stevenson and her 9-year-old Hanoverian Warmblood, FE Caison at The Event at Rebecca Farm. The dazzling duo was rewarded for their outstanding performance in the dressage phase of the Junior/Young Rider Open Preliminary three-day-eventing competition.

Fifteen-year-old Sonoma Academy student Stevenson has owned FE Caison (Contendro x Hauptstutbuch Via Vera), nicknamed “Cash,” for about a year. Her handsome 16.3 bay gelding was purchased from Clayton Fredericks’s barn in Florida, after being imported from Germany in 2015. The pair was awarded the Triple Crown Dressage Excellence Award for winning the dressage phase of the Junior/Young Rider Open Preliminary with a final score of 27.60. They both train at Chocolate Horse Farm in Petaluma with Andrea Pfeiffer.

“This was our first year doing the preliminary together,” remarked Stevenson proudly. “He excels the most in the dressage and show jumping phases – he’s a pretty careful guy, but he’s a really good at cross country horse and he has gotten so much bolder this year. He has given me a lot of confidence.”

The Event, one of North America’s largest equestrian triathlons, has been held at picturesque Rebecca Farm for the last 15 years. The gorgeous equine facility lies nestled in the Flathead Valley, bordered by the lofty peaks of the Montana mountains. This July marked the first time that The Event was selected to host the North American Junior Young Rider Championships. Known by many as “The Junior Olympics” of eventing, the 2017 International Federation for Equestrian Sports Championship coincided with this year’s Event at Rebecca Farm, held July 19 – 23.

Triple Crown Nutrition Specialist Shannon Keller was proud to honor the horse and rider team, Stevenson and Cash, who manifested exceptional commitment to excellence by embodying the ideals of dedication and achievement in horse sports while demonstrating exceptionally good health and fitness. The premium equine feed company is also pleased to sponsor equestrian events like The Event that promote heath and wellness as well as a strong sense of community.

Every year The Event features ‘Halt Cancer at X,” a philanthropic fundraising component which helps to raise money for breast cancer research by collecting a daily parking donation as well as soliciting pledges from competitors to fund an annual award to grant recipients each fall.

Triple Crown’s own dedication to equine health and excellence is apparent in its commitment to superior feeds. Triple Crown was the first company to add prebiotics, probiotics, and organic minerals to horse feed and still continues to deliver the very best in equine nutrition today. Triple Crown is the official feed sponsor of the U.S. Dressage Team, the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team, and the Hermes U.S. Show Jumping Team, and it is a proud sponsor of the 2017 Summer in the Rockies and Dressage in the Rockies show series at the Colorado Horse Park.
