RRP at LRK3DE 2018: That’s a Wrap!

Our first LRK3DE Scavenger Hunt proved enormously popular, thanks to the generous support of sponsors who donated prizes for our gift basket. Scavenger hunt participants got a free raffle entries, and others could purchase tickets. Erin Crady, executive director of Thoroughbred Charities of America, and Jen Roytz, executive director of RRP, drew the winner’s name live on Facebook on Saturday afternoon.

Omega Alpha Equine also donated door prizes for our Makeover Trainers’ Meet-and-Greet Breakfast, which was held at the beautiful U.S. Hunter Jumper Association headquarters building at the Kentucky Horse Park. 2018 Makeover trainers Danielle Dabkowski and Robin Owens took home an Omega Alpha blanket and bucket full of Omega Alpha supplements, respectively. Thanks to Nutramax, Triple Crown Feed, Clever With Leather, Accuhorsemat, Horseware, Stoneware &Co., Finish Line, Godolphin, Purina, Vetoquinol, Excel Equine, Omega Alpha Equine, and USHJA for their generosity!

To celebrate the long and successful history of Thoroughbreds at the Kentucky Three-Day Event, we created the first in a series of posters featuring an iconic Thoroughbred who has contested the event. This year’s poster, sponsored by The Chronicle of the Horse, featured Simply Priceless and Elisa Wallace. In addition to being a successful competitor at the top levels of eventing, Elisa is also a veteran Thoroughbred Makeover trainer. She greeted fans at the RRP booth and was kind enough to sign posters and chat Thoroughbreds with us on Thursday.

Elisa went on to finish 26th, marking her and “Johnny’s” third completion of the Kentucky Three-Day.
