UMN Crookston Hunt Seat Equestrian Team Wraps Up 2021 Season at Collegiate Equitation Celebration in Indiana

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota equestrian team will be competing at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in St. Mary’s Indiana for the Collegiate Equitation Celebration on May 9.

For the team competition, UMN Crookston will have six riders competing. Rachel Johnson (Sr., Stillwater, Minn.) will be competing in Open Fences. Katie Buttolph (Jr., Yankton, S.D.) will be riding in Intermediate Fences. Kendra Putzke (Fr., Esko, Minn.) will compete in Limit Fences. Johnson will be riding in Open Flat. Buttolph will also compete in Intermediate Flat. Katie Orth (Jr., Randall, Minn.) will be UMN Crookston’s representative in Limit Flat, while Kaitlyn Fedewa will ride in Novice Flat, and Ashleigh Lueder (Fr., Rochester, Minn.) will compete in Introductory Flat.

In the individual competition, Johnson, Morgan Schelske (Jr., Zimmerman, Minn.), and Taylor Barlage (Sr., New Prague, Minn.) will ride in the Open Fences competition. Buttolph, Orth, and Putzke will compete in Limit Fences. Johnson, Schelske, and Barlage will also compete in Open Flat, while Buttolph, Orth and Putzke will ride in Limit Flat. Fedewa and Anna Woidyla (Sr., Swanville, Minn.) will ride in Novice Flat, while Lueder will compete in Introductory Flat.

The Collegiate Equitation Celebration will be the final competition for the Golden Eagles.
