Rodeo Royalty Participates in Enderlin All-School Reunion

Enderlin, ND was abuzz with activity June 25th with the All-School Reunion. Folks came from around the country to celebrate and see former classmates and instructors.

Rodeo Royalty from the area participated in the parade at 11 a.m.

Zannika Wobbema and Samantha Bergrud, royalty from the Triple R Coteau Arena, rode in the Enderlin, ND Parade.

To compete for a title, the Queens compete in the following categories: Horsemanship – usually a reining pattern, Equine questions- after the reining pattern, Formal Interview – consists of rodeo knowledge, current events, equine, and personality questions. The young ladies are scored on their speech, and impromptu questions.

Each arena has their own pageants and the competitions can differ slightly, says Beth Wobbema, mother of two of young ladies.  “The girls represent the arenas for a year doing parades, grand entries, and other events throughout the year. Being a Rodeo Queen is more than looking pretty and carrying a flag!”
