BLM EXTENDS KINGMAN TRAVEL MANAGEMENT PLAN PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

KINGMAN, Ariz. – To improve public participation and to be a good neighbor, the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) Kingman Field Office is extending the public comment period for the Kingman Travel Management Plan/Environmental Assessment by 60 days. The new deadline for public comment is November 30, 2018.

The travel management plan and environmental assessment involve BLM-managed public lands near the communities of Kingman, Wikieup, Bullhead City, Dolan Springs, Meadview, and Golden Valley in Mohave County.

Travel management is a comprehensive approach to the administration of travel and transportation networks of roads, primitive routes, trails and areas. This includes the inventory and mapping, route designations and other measures necessary for providing access to and across public lands for a variety of uses.

The public can submit their comments through the BLM national NEPA register, ePlanning, at: https://go.usa.gov/xUsPq. Written comments may be mailed to: Kingman Field Office, 2755 Mission Boulevard, Kingman, AZ 86401, faxed to 928-718-3761, or emailed to blm_az_kfo_tmp_comment@blm.gov
