Minnesota Crookston Equestrian Set for 2023 ECAC Championships in Brookings

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team will compete in the ECAC Championships March 23-25 at DeHaan Equestrian Center in Brookings, S.D. The Golden Eagles are the fifth seed in Dual Discipline. They will open the Championships on Thursday, March 23 against fourth-seed South Dakota State University. University of Tennessee Martin is the top seed, Delaware State University is the second seed, while the University of California Davis is the No. 3 seed.

The Golden Eagles went 0-8 in NCEA meets in 2022-23. Minnesota Crookston last competed February 10-11 in Brookings, S.D., with a 13-1 loss to South Dakota State, and a 14-2 loss to Delaware State. Ashlyn Montague (Fr., Draper, Utah) led the Golden Eagles with a win in reining against the Jackrabbits. In the Delaware State meet, Julianna Gullo (Fr., Itasca, Ill.) earned Most Outstanding Performance honors in fences. Keira Boedigheimer (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) also picked up a point in fences.

The Golden Eagles have been represented in NCEA by Montague, Gullo, Boedigheimer, Olivia Becker (Sr., Deer Park, Wis.), Belle Sand (So., Spicer, Minn.), Rebecca Clark (Sr., Austin, Minn.), Alex Pfaffenbach (Jr., Appleton, Wis.), RaeAnna Danielson (Fr., Harris, Minn.), and Josie Mills (So., Brandon, S.D.).
