CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston western equestrian team will host a pair of home shows at the University Teaching and Outreach Center (UTOC) Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21. Saturday’s meet will commence at 1 p.m., while Sunday’s will get underway at 10 a.m.

The meet will be the first IHSA competitions for the western equestrian team. The Golden Eagles competed in an NCEA match against University of Tennessee at Martin last weekend. UMN Crookston is looking to build on a strong season in 2019-20. The Golden Eagles sent four riders to the IHSA Semi Finals before the remainder of the 2019-20 season was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Fans are currently not allowed at equestrian events due to the space needed to host all of the teams for the event with COVID-19 protocols in place.
