Ridgefield, CT – Sept. 25, 2020 – In an effort to bring educational opportunities to hard-working equestrians who have been limited in their endeavors, Double H Farm has partnered with Horse Pilot to host a two-day clinic for six lucky riders at no cost, including stabling. Participants will have the chance to learn from Quentin Judge on horseback, as well as ground learning with Double H Farm’s esteemed team of professionals that work with the horses. Double H Farm’s intention behind the free weekend is to offer a possibility that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to attain for many equestrians due to the widespread growth of inequality in the sport that has priced out many participants.

Held on the beautiful grounds of Double H Farm’s Connecticut base, the clinic will be held September 26 – 27, 2020, and is meant to promote inclusion and bring positivity and learning opportunities in a safe environment. Adding another layer of appeal to the weekend, Double H Farm’s valued sponsor Horse Pilot will be donating six airbag vests, plus more exciting gifts, for each rider to keep, and Enjoy Yums and EnviroEquine & PET will both be contributing to goodie bags.

“Though we love our sport of show jumping, we also recognize that the barrier to entry for many people has become essentially unattainable due to the lack of accessibility and affordable options in the industry. Increasing that strain is the fact that COVID-19 has affected all levels of equestrians and made showing and training even more difficult for many riders. To bring a little positivity to the industry and help in a small way, we want to provide an opportunity for learning in a safe and fun way in order to utilize this amazing facility we’re lucky to have!” commented Cayce Harrison of Double H Farm. “Quentin and I can’t wait to welcome the riders and their horses, and we can’t thank our sponsors, especially Horse Pilot, enough who are helping us to put on such a great event. This is going to be fun!”

The clinic will be held at Double H Farm’s beautiful base in Connecticut.

2020 has shone new light on the importance of health and safety in equestrian sport and beyond, and Double H Farm has taken that message seriously. Placing emphasis on safety, Double H Farm’s head trainer and rider Judge adopted the use of the Horse Pilot airbag vest in 2019, and has credited the vest with keeping him injury-free following a fall just weeks ago. With firsthand knowledge of how important and valuable the innovative item is, Double H Farm is proud to team up with its partner Horse Pilot to provide airbag vests for all six clinic participants to keep them safe, both during the clinic weekend and afterwards in their training and show rides.

In addition to the airbag vests, Horse Pilot also generously donated saddle pads and more apparel for the participants. Thanks to Enjoy Yums and EnviroEquine & PET, clinic riders will leave with fun horse-friendly goodie bag! Double H Farm’s longtime sponsor Enjoy Yums will be providing healthy, fresh-baked treats for horses that are made of rice bran, fruits, vegetables and less sugar, and EnviroEquine & PET will be giving hats and important equine nutrition information.

The clinic will operate under appropriate COVID-19 protocols in order to keep all participants safe and healthy. Auditors are welcome, and masks and social distancing will be required. If you wish to audit the clinic, please RSVP to doublehfarm@gmail.com so that the farm can prepare for your visit.

Due to such large demand, the team at Double H Farm plans to host a second free clinic at their Wellington, Fla. facility sometime in either late 2020 or early 2021, pending horse show schedules and coronavirus regulations.
