2019 USPC Championships Set to Begin
July 22, 2019 (Lexington, KY) – The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. is heading to Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), July 25th – 28th for the 2019 USPC Championships East.
Each year, USPC holds National Championships in Dressage, Western Dressage, Eventing, Mounted Games, Polocrosse, Quiz, Show Jumping, and Tetrathlon. All members competing at Championships qualify through participation in Regional Rallies, where teams of members are selected. Teams are scored not only on their success in the ring or on the field, but also on their Horse Management skills and knowledge.
The event kicks off Thursday evening with Opening Ceremonies, followed by Battle of the Barns Lip Sync Contest and Competitors’ Party in the Tryon Arena. Pony Club Sponsor, Star Stable (www.starstable.com) will provide entertainment with singer/songwriter Amanda Örtenhag, and Matilda Opalpie, who will emcee the Battle of the Barns Lip Sync Contest.
The TIEC Saturday Night Lights event boasts fun for all! Face-painting, special performers, a Venetian carousel, and live music are just a small list of what is in store. In addition, nationally certified Pony Club competitors will be exhibiting their talents in the Member Showcase in the Tryon Arena. Come watch USPC’s finest demonstrate their expertise in Dressage, Mounted Games, Polocrosse, Eventing, Show Jumping and Tetrathlon. The Member Showcase is also proud to feature “Are You Smarter Than a Quiz Competitor” Trivia and recognition of all team Stable Managers.
“Pony Club is excited to welcome competitors and spectators to the 2019 USPC Championships East at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. We look forward to participants joining us for not only competition but also all of our exciting events” said Teresa Woods, Executive Director of United States Pony Clubs, Inc.
