TRIPLE H MINIATURE HORSE RESCUE Hosts a LOW COST

Gelding Clinic in Mandan, ND

Reducing the number of unwanted horses through Operation Gelding

Mandan, ND October 8, 2016-Triple H Miniature Horse Rescue will host a low cost gelding clinic for owners who might not otherwise afford the procedure. The clinic will be held at Triple H  Miniature Horse Rescue starting a 9 a.m on October 8, 2016. Pre-registration is required.
Funding for the clinic is provided in part by the Unwanted Horse Coalition’s Operation Gelding program. The program was developed based on a philosophy that the castration of a stallion will help prevent accidental or over-breeding, thereby reducing the number of unwanted horses born. Castration also produces  gentler horses that are more rideable, trainable, an saleable, possibly enabling them to have multiple careers.
“We are excited to offer a gelding clinic for owners in the Bismarck/Mandan and surrounding communities,” said Alison Smith, Founder of Triple H Miniature Horse Rescue. “There are too many unwanted horses nationwide, and we don’t want to see the same trend locally.  We invite owners to register by October 1 to be guaranteed a spot.”
Since its inception in 2010, Operation Gelding has facilitated the castration of more than 1,340 horses in 107 clinics in 29 states.
